Jesse Gordon captured his second victory of the RFRL Elite Truck Series season at EchoPark Speedway, advancing from fourth on the grid to claim the checkered flag in a chaotic 116-lap battle that featured 23 lead changes and seven cautions. Gordon led 18 laps en route to victory, extending his championship lead to 19 points over Jordan Traas, who started third and finished on the final step of the podium after leading 18 laps himself. Pole sitter Paul White, who led seven laps early in the race, faded to ninth place after accumulating eight incidents during the event.
The story of the race belonged to Nate Lesko, who delivered a masterclass drive from 33rd on the grid to second place, earning hard charger honors with a spectacular 31-position gain. Lesko led four laps during his charge through the field, managing just four incidents while most of the frontrunners struggled with contact throughout the afternoon. Jason Coursey also impressed with an 18-position climb from 22nd to fourth, while Brandon Hinton matched Lesko's impressive form by advancing 27 spots from 37th to finish tenth.
The race proved particularly punishing for several early contenders, with Christian Delgado suffering the biggest disappointment by dropping from second on the grid to 24th at the finish despite leading 15 laps. Former championship leader Paul White's struggles allowed Gordon to seize control of the points race, while clean driving proved valuable as only five drivers managed to avoid incidents entirely. Kyle Peacock parlayed his incident-free run into a fifth-place finish, advancing five positions from his tenth starting spot and leading 12 laps along the way.
With 15 races remaining in the Elite Truck Series season, Gordon now holds a 19-point advantage over Traas in the championship standings, with White falling to third, 25 points behind the leader. The incident-heavy nature of the Atlanta race demonstrated how quickly fortunes can change in this series, as Lesko's remarkable recovery drive and several drivers' misfortunes reshuffled both the finishing order and the championship picture heading into the next round.
