Jordan Traas turned an eleventh-place starting spot into a victory at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Friday night, claiming his fourth win of the season in Round 12 of the RFRL Godsby ARCA Series. Traas, wheeling the #79, gained ten positions across 135 laps to also earn Hard Charger honors — the race's most impressive individual performance. The victory was built on consistency and pace, with Traas leading 34 of the race's 135 laps through a chaotic afternoon that produced 13 lead changes, two cautions, and six caution laps across an 18-car field.

The story of the race very nearly belonged to Sam Boutwell in the #51, who led a race-high 62 laps from his third-place starting spot and applied relentless pressure at the front. Boutwell crossed the line in second, a result that marks his first podium in the series but not, ultimately, the win he deserved on raw lap leadership. Jonathan Burt in the #11 completed the podium in third after starting fifth, leading seven laps of his own and adding crucial points to his standings haul. Pole-sitter Carlos Acosta in the #2 could not convert his front-row advantage into a result, falling eight positions to finish ninth. Tommy Wynne in the #71, who had started second and led 12 laps, tumbled thirteen spots to finish fifteenth, one of the day's most dramatic reversals.

Among the other notable charges through the field, Tom Ringer's #68 gained seven spots from twelfth to fifth, while Brian Sousa in the #60 moved nine positions from fifteenth to sixth, and Victor Etheridge in the #7 matched that same nine-position gain from sixteenth to seventh. At the back end of the order, Robert Walton's #57 accumulated 14 incidents, the most of any finisher, and fell eight positions from his sixth-place start to fourteenth.

With 12 races still remaining in the season, the standings paint a tight and urgent picture. Jonathan Burt holds the top spot with 381 points, but Traas's victory closes the gap considerably — the #79 now sits second with 330 points, tied with John Crosby in third. Brian Sousa's sixth-place run keeps him just one point off Crosby at 329, meaning three drivers are separated by a single point behind Burt's lead. With 51 points separating the top five and a dozen rounds left on the schedule, Burt's advantage is real but far from comfortable.
